Mist will affect visibility in the northern and central parts of Egypt on Wednesday.

"Early drivers should pay extra attention as the morning fog will be intense," Wahid El-Seoudy, spokesman for the Egyptian Meteorology Authority, told Ahram Online.

The weather could affect marine navigation, El-Seoudy said.

Parts of Upper Egypt saw power cuts for a few hours on Sunday when severe fog led to a breakdown in operations at Samalot power station in Minya and at the Aswan High Dam.

The power cut also affected water stations, hospitals, and bakeries.

Cloudy weather and possible rain are forecast for the northern parts of the country, Sinai, and the Halayeb and Shalatin on Wednesday, MENA reported, while the other southern areas of the country are expected to have warm weather.
