A pilots' strike will ground around 1,700 flights at Europe's biggest airline Lufthansa on Tuesday and Wednesday, the group said.

Around 180,000 passengers will be affected by the walkout, which comes after last-minute talks failed to reach a wage deal between Lufthansa and pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit on Sunday.
