Ahly's talks with Sundowns international winger Keagan Dolly concerning a possible move this winter are progressing well and a deal could be in place in the coming few days, local media reported on Monday.
The Cairo giants, who have one place remaining on their league list, are looking for a classy African player to strengthen their squad.
The 23-year-old Dolly was instrumental in Sundowns triumphant campaign in the CAF Champions League, helping the team win their first ever African title at the expense of Egyptian side Zamalek last October.
He made five international appearances, scoring twice with the Bafana Bafana so far.
Ahly have to offload one of their three foreign players; striker Jhon Antwi of Ghana, Tunisian fullback Ali Maaloul and Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi, to make room for the South African winger.
Ahly are leading the Egyptian league table with 42 points, five ahead of second-placed Maqassa who still have one match on their hands.
