Ahly's Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi has been cleared to play in the coming crucial game against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League after recovering from an ankle injury.

The 20-year-old forward, who has scored four goals during eight games, missed Ahly's previous two games in the Egyptian Premier league due to the injury.

"Ajayi suffered from a nock in his ankle but he is now fit to return to training, and he is fit for the Cairo Derby," Ahly's doctor said on Friday.

Title-holders and league-leaders Ahly are scheduled to face rivals Zamalek on Thursday 29 December in the 17th match-day of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Devils have 42 points, 11 ahead of Zamalek, who still have three games in hand.
