Zamalek have received an offer for talented winger Mostafa Fathi from Italian Serie A side Torino, Ahram Sport reported on Sunday.
The Italian club have reportedly offered 500,000 euros to sign the 22-year-old player in a six-month loan deal starting January, with an option to make the deal permanent for 2.5 million euros in the summer.
Fathi, renowned for his outstanding dribbling skills and ability to evade opponents in one-on-one situations, has established himself as one of Zamalek's key players since joining the club as a teenager in 2013.
The Egyptian international came under the spotlight after some superb performances in the 2014/15 season, helping them win a rare domestic double (the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup titles).
He also played an instrumental role in guiding Zamalek the Egypt Cup title last season; scoring the third goal in a 3-1 win over rivals Ahly.
This is not the first time a Serie A club have shown interest in Fathi.
In June, Bologna offered a 400,000 euro one-year loan bid to sign Fathi; an offer that was rejected by the Cairo giants, who were unwilling to accept less than 4 million euros to let him go.
Zamalek lie third in the Egyptian league table with 34 points, 8 behind leaders Ahly, who have played two matches more.
Torino, who finished 12th in the Italian league last season, lie eighth in the Serie A table with 28 points, 14 behind leaders Juventus, who played one match less.
