Cinema Zawya has announced on their website that they are extending screenings of Damien Chazelle’s La La Land to 17 January.
The 2016 romantic musical comedy follows the story of jazz pianist Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and aspiring actress Mia (Emma Stone) who meet in Los Angeles and fall in love.
Since its release, the film has received numerous awards, the most recent of which being six Golden Globe Awards: Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy, Best Original Score, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Actress-Motion Picture Musical or Comedy which went to the two lead roles, and Best Director, which went to Damien Chazelle.
La La Land is also nominated for 10 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards: Best Film, Best Director, Best Leading Actress, Best Leading Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Original Music, and Best Sound.
