Souleymane Coulibaly and Amr Barakat boost the title-holder's squad ahead of Wednesday's match

Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has announced the 22-man squad for their match Wednesday with Ismaily, as play resumes in the Egyptian Premier League.

Newly-signed Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly has been called up for the anticipated game, alongside newcomer midfielder Amr Barakat.

During the January transfer window, the 22-year-old Coulibaly signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the team, moving from Kilmarnock. Barakat, 25, returns meanwhile to his boyhood club from Belgium's Lierse.

The Cairo giants, who lost the Super Cup trophy on Friday to arch-rivals Zamalek, are in preparations for Wednesday's match.

Ahly are currently in the driving seat of the league table with 45 points, four ahead of Maqassa and eleven of Zamalek.

Zamalek have two games in hand.

Ahly 22-man squad was announced as follows:            

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel, Mohamed El-Shenawy

Defenders: Ahmed Hegazy, Mohamed Naguib, Saad Samir, Sabri Rahil, Mohamed Hani, Ali Maloul

Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Saleh Gomaa, Walid Soliman, Moemen Zakareya, Amr Barakat, Karim 'Nedved', Akram Tawfik, Mido Gaber

Strikers: Emad Meteb, Souleymane Coulibaly, Junior Ajayi, Amr Gamal
