Zamalek will be without Ahmed Tawfik and Mohamed Nassef Sunday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32, when the team will meet Enugu Rangers of Nigeria on home soil.

Tawfik, 25, is an important midfielder for the Cairo-based club, who are bidding for their first Champions League title since 2002. He will be sidelined due to a tear in his ankle.

The 30-year-old left-back Nassef, who is a former Ahly player, suffers a tear in his foot.

The two sides will face off a week from Saturday in the second-leg away in Nigeria.

Five-time title holders Zamalek finished runners-up at the last edition of CAF, the most prestigious African club championship.
