Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrives in Bahrain on Monday for a series of talks with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and responding to foreign interference in Arab nations, according to state-run news agency MENA.

The two leaders will discuss ways to promote unity between allied Arab countries, with a view to promoting their interests in the face of foreign interference in domestic affairs, said the MENA.

The president's trip follows a two-day official visit to Kuwait, where he met Kuwait's emir Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and other top officials.

On Sunday, El-Sisi told the Kuwaiti Emir that the security of Egypt depends on the security of the Gulf states, stressing that Egypt will not allow threats to the stability and security of its "brother countries in the Gulf”.

The Bahrain visit will be the last in El-Sisi's Gulf tour, during which he visited both Kuwait and UAE in the past week, as well as Saudi Arabia in late April.

During a meeting with Kuwaiti investors from the joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti Economic Cooperation Council, El-Sisi stressed the need for continued communication to overcome any obstacles they might face in Egypt.

He praised the role played by the council, which was established in November 2015, in supporting economic relations between the two countries.

He also presented Egypt’s efforts at enacting economic reforms, as well as several national projects topped by developmental projects in the Suez Canal Zone.

The Egyptian government has taken steps, he said, to ensure a climate that will attract investors, the latest being the newly approved investment law.

Council members welcomed the Egyptian president’s visit, affirming their enthusiasm for further investment in Egypt in the light of various improvements, including the economic reform package.

Anticipating the council's upcoming meeting, members said they welcomed the opportunity to continue pushing ahead with projects in Egypt.

Several Gulf countries have provided much-needed backing to Egypt since the ousting of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in 2013, pledging financial aid and support for the country.
