French President Emmanuel Macron said Friday that "nothing will separate" France and the United States as he marked his country's national day with US President Donald Trump.

"Nothing will ever separate us," Macron said during a speech at the Bastille Day military parade on the Champs-Elysees, adding that Trump's presence was "the sign of a friendship across the ages" between their countries.
