Egypt swimmer Ahmed Hamdy Salem failed to reach Men 400m Medley final after placing 28th in the heats ranking with 4:25.16, while Egypt team also missed out Men 4x100m Medley Relay final after placing 18th in the ranking with 3:40.85.
American Chase Tyler Kalisz snatched the lead of the Men 400m Medley heats ranking with 4:09.79.
Great swimmer Michael Phelps of USA holds the world record of 400 metres individual medley with 4:03.84 in Beijing, China August 2008.
USA team came in the lead with 3:29.66.
Late on Saturday, Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman won the bronze medal in the women's 50m butterfly final in Budapest on Saturday, achieving a 25.39s to claim Egypt's first-ever medal in the World Championships.
The FINA World Championships – or World Aquatics Championships – are the main global competition for aquatic sports (swimming, diving, high-diving, open-water swimming, synchronised swimming, and water polo).
The tournament runs from 14 to 30 July this year.
