The festival ran between 22 and 29 September screening numerous Egyptian and international films

The winners of the first edition of El-Gouna Film Festival were announced during the official closing ceremony which took place at the open air theatre located in Marina, Gouna.

The closing ceremony was presented by Egyptian actress Amina Khalil. The festival offers a star, a symbol of Gouna, as an award to the winners.
