The spoils were shared Sunday at St. James' Park as Newcastle United and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw.

It was Phillipe Coutinho again who put Liverpool (3-3-1) ahead with a fabulous curler from 25 yards out in the 29th minute. However, Newcastle's main man, Joselu, levelled things up just seven minutes later.

Jurgen Klopp brought on the likes of Roberto Firmino, Dominic Solanke and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the second half as the Reds were desperately seeking a winner. Rafa Benitez's Newcastle United (3-1-3), meanwhile, did superbly well defensively to hang on and claim a well earned point on their home pitch.
