Benjelloun played few minutes with Ismaily
Egyptian club Ismaily has told Moroccan international striker Abdessalam Benjelloun to find a new club when the transfer window reopens next January after failing to make his mark with the team over the past six months.
“Benjelloun only played a few minutes and failed to make a big impact with the team,” Ismaily’s assistant coach Ahmed Qenawy told Ahram Online.
The 25-year old marksman joined the Dervishes last summer as a free agent but couldn’t break through the starting XI as Nigerian Godwin Ndubuisi and Egypt’s striker Ahmed Ali were hard to displace.
“Benjelloun joined us on a free transfer, but he earns a big salary. We won’t let him ago for free and we will be waiting for offers,” Qenawy added.
The Egyptian league runners up will try to empty a foreign seat in their squad in order to hire a versatile defender to strengthen their backline seeing that international defender Moatassem Salem is on the move.
