Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met on Tuedsay with Hervé Guillou, the CEO of French company Naval Group, which has a contract to supply naval vessels to Egypt.
El-Sisi, who arrived in Paris on Monday at the start of a three-day visit, met with Guillou at the president's residence, according to a press statement from the president's office.
The Egyptian navy is the French company's second biggest customer for military products after the French navy, according to the statement.
In September, Egypt took delivery of a French-made GOWIND corvette, manufactured by Naval Group. The vessel, which is named El-Fatah, is part of deal for four such corvettes.
El-Sisi is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron later on Tuesday.
