Egyptian winger Mahmoud 'Shikabala' Abdel Razek said on Thursday he is ready to wear the Pharaohs shirt if Cuper decided to call him up.

Shikabala, a long-time Zamalek star skipper and former Egyptian international, produced many fine displays with the Saudi team El-Baten since joining them last summer.

He shone on his side's 5-1 win over Al-Raed in the Saudi league on Thursday, scoring one goal before providing another one.

"If there is a chance to join the Egyptian national team, i am ready" Shikabala told Saudi satellite channel MBC on Thursday.

The 32-year old Shikabala has 29 caps with the Pharaohs but his last international appearance date in September 2014.

Pharaohs' assistant coach Ossama Nabih recently opened the door for new players to join the Pharaoh during the coming period after securing a World Cup berth.

Egypt ended a 27 year World Cup drought after defeating Congo 2-1 earlier this month to book their ticket to the next year's World Cup in Russia.
