The Ahly Football Committee, led by the newly-elected chairman Mahmoud El-Khatib, is meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss the current situation of the first football team after a slump in form, winning just once in four matches.
The meeting will be attended by committee members Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Shafi and Alaa bdel-Sadeq, alongside coach Hossam El-Badry, Ahram Sports reported.
The committee will also discuss the team's various problems and the situation regarding players, agreeing on the positions that need an injection of new blood in the winter transfer window.
The Reds coach has come under fire recently for failing to end the club's poor run, with the defending champions winning just once in their last four matches.
Ahly, who have lost nine points in the last four games (one loss, two draws and a single win), are now second in the league table with 30 points, four behind leaders Ismaily.
With two matches in hand, Ahly will face Petrojet in the next league match on Friday.
The team is preparing for two tough clashes, facing off against bitter rivals Zamalek in the league on 8 January, four days before clashing with Masry in the Super Cup.
