Borussia Dortmund has left star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of its squad to face Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga for ''disciplinary reasons.''
It is the second time this season that the Gabon striker has been dropped by Dortmund in this way, and the third time overall.
Former Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel previously dropped Aubameyang for taking an unsanctioned trip to Milan, and ex-Dortmund coach Peter Bosz dropped him earlier this season for inviting a film crew to the club's facilities and then turning up late for training.
Dortmund coach Peter Stoeger said before kickoff against Wolfsburg on Sunday that the decision was taken as Aubameyang is ''not so focused at the moment'' after missing a club appointment.
''We had an important scheduled meeting on Saturday. Aubameyang didn't come. He said he had forgotten it. We drew consequences from that,'' Stoeger said. ''Still, he was surprised today. But now someone else is playing who is totally focused.''
Aubameyang has 13 league goals this season.
