Egypt claimed their second successive win in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Nigeria 27-22 on Thursday in Gabon.

Despite a slow start, the Pharaohs went to the dressing room with a two-point lead (12-10).

The defending champions dominated the second-half, which ended with a five-goal lead (27-22).

Egypt, who are on the top of group B with four points, will face Angola, who also have four points, on Sunday.

Angola are Egypt's main rivals in the group, which includes Morocco, Nigeria and DR Congo.

Egypt have started their Nations Cup campaign with a 33-28 win over Morocco on Wednesday.

The first three teams in the tournament will represent Africa in the World Championship, which will take place in Germany and Denmark next year.
