Egypt claimed their fourth consecutive handball win in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after defeating DR Congo 36-27 in Gabon to end the group stage phase as group B leaders with eight points from four games.
The defending champions will face Congo, fourth in group A, in the quarterfinal on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs are looking to win their seventh continental title as they are the first contender for this edition.
The first three teams in the tournament will represent Africa at the World Championship, which will take place in Germany and Denmark next year.
