Egypt reached the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals after outclassing Congo 37-22 in the quarter-final on Wednesday.
The defending champions dominated the game from the outset to end the first-half with a three-goal lead (18-15).
The second half saw Egypt extend the gap and outplay Congo to win 37-22.
Egypt will face the winner of Morocco's clash against hosts Gabon in the semi-final on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Tunisia defeated DR Congo 38-21 to set up a meeting with Angola in the semis.
Angola stunned Algeria 29-27 in a closely-fought game on Wednesday.
The first three teams in the tournament will represent Africa at the World Championship, which will take place in Germany and Denmark next year.
