Dubbed The King, Egypt's popular singer Mohamed Mounir was honoured by the Cairo Nile Lions Club

The popular singer Mohamed Mounir was honoured by the Cairo Nile Lions Club in a festive ceremony that took place 27 January at the club's premises in Garden City.

Headed by the Egyptian star Samir Sabri and under the supervision of Governor of International Lions Region Mahmoud Al-Maghraby, the event was organised with an aim to honour a number of society icons.

Among other honorees of the evening were Ambassador Moushira Khattab and Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram.

The event was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including author and journalist Mohamed Salmawy, vernacular poet Gamal Bekheit, founding director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin, director of the Catholic Centre for Egyptian Cinema Father Boutros Daniel, actress Ingy Al-Mokadem, and television anchor Boussi Shalabi, among other society stars.
