Egypt's Shoukry discusses bilateral relations with Azeri economy minister

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry discussed economic relations with Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev on Wednesday in Cairo, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement.

Shoukry expressed Egypt’s appreciation for Azerbaijan’s support during the “critical moments” experienced by the country in recent years.

The two officials discussed economic relations between the two countries and the recent national projects and investment opportunities in Egypt.

Minister Mustafayev spoke about his government's economic projects in Azerbaijan, especially in infrastructure, gas exports, oil and railways.

Mustafayev is in Cairo to attend the meeting of the Egyptian-Azeri joint committee, which will discuss cooperation between the two countries on 21-22 February.
