Egypt's winger Mohamed Salah will face a tough mission in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, as Liverpool have drawn with English Premier League leaders Manchester City after the draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.

Liverpool reached the quarter-finals after beating Porto 5-0 away in the first leg in the round of 16.

Liverpool are the highest scorers in the competition, finding the net on 28 occasions and still unbeaten in Europe this season.

With participation and shining of Egypt's Salah, 25, Liverpool is the only team which defeated Manchester City in the English Premier League this season.

The Reds, who are 4th in the English Premier League teams' table with 60 points, defeated leaders Manchester City 4-3 last January in the 23rd matchday of the tournament.

Manchester City booked their place in the next round weeks ago with a 4-0 win over Basel, blemished only slightly by their 2-1 loss in the second leg at home.
