Emirati side Al-Ain have signed Egyptian midfielder Hussein El-Shahat until 2021, making his loan move from Egyptian side Maqassa permanent, the club announced on their official Twitter account on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation at Al-Ain since joining in a six-month loan deal in January, scoring seven goals so far.
His form earned him a first call-up to Egypt's squad for two friendly games against Portugal and Greece as part of a training camp in Switzerland later this month.
El-Shahat was strongly linked with a summer move to Cairo giants Ahly, who failed in their bid to land him in January.
