Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed the latest regional developments concerning Iran and its intervention in Arab countries' affairs with his Arab counterparts in Riyadh on Thursday, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.
The meeting of the Arab ministerial committee assigned to follow Iranian intervention was held before the general session of Arab foreign ministers discussed the latest interventions in Syria and Yemen.
On Wednesday the Saudi military shot down a missile over Riyadh that had been fired by Houthi fighters in Yemen.
The committee is made up of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE, and the secretary-general of the Arab League.
Currently, Shoukry is participating in the preparatory meetings for the 29th Arab summit in Riyadh, where he arrived on Wednesday.
The Arab League has also sent a delegation to Saudi Arabia for the preparatory meetings.
The upcoming summit will be held on Sunday in Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
