FIFA has informed the Egyptian national team of their traditional red, white and black outfit colours in the anticipated 2018 World Cup taking place in Russia in June.
"Egypt team is approved to wear a red jersey, black shorts and socks in the World Cup opener against Uruguay [taking place 15 June] while the goalkeeper will appear in blue," the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) stated on its Facebook page Sunday afternoon.
The Pharaohs will be in white shirts and socks and black shorts in the two other group stage games, against Russia on 19 June and against Saudi Arabia on 25 June.
Egypt are ending a 28-year absence from the most prestigious football tournament thanks to the Mohamed Salah generation led by Argentinean coach Hector Cuper.
