Egyptian club Ismaily have approved a one-year loan deal for their goalkeeper Mohamed Awad with Saudi side Al-Wehda.

"We have already agreed on the contracts terms and Al-Wehda will have an option to land the player permanently after the one-year loan expires," Al-Wehda chairman Hatem Khaimi was reported as saying.

Awad, 25, who might be among Egypt's squad for the upcoming World Cup, is a promising goalkeeper who started his career at Ismaily.

He was loaned to Masry for the 2014/15 season.

Khaimi has also shown public interest in landing Ahly winger Ramadan Sobhi, who was previously loaned to English Premier League side Stoke City.

Al-Wehda was recently promoted to Saudi's top tier, after winning this season's second division, and they have since been promised major financial support by the country's authorities.
