Ahmed Samir Farag scored a 33rdminute goal to fire Ismaily past Wadi Degla 1-0 in the 9thmatchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
The left back fired a 25-yard free kick that hit the inside of the post and went into the goal.
Wadi Degla reacted soon after and had some clear-cut chances to clinch the equalizer but couldn’t capitalize on their efforts to lose all the points of the game.
Ismaily climbed to sixth place with 14 points after seven games as he still has two games in hand while Wadi Degla are 11thwith 10 points out of eight games.
