French Ambassador to Cairo Stéphane Romatet announced on Wednesday the establishment of a new cancer network between Egypt and France, which aims to raise funds for cancer treatment and promote scientific, academic and clinical support for cancer patients in Egypt.

Romatet made the announcement during a visit on Wednesday to the Cairo 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital, which has been treating children diagnosed with cancer since 2007.

Romatet hailed the cooperation between Cairo and Paris on the establishment of the 'Egypt Cancer Network-France' (ECN-Fr).

According to a statement by the French embassy, the ECN-Fr, whose creation is supported by the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department of the French Embassy, will aim to raise funds in France for the 57357 Hospital.

The hospital is one of the largest children's cancer hospitals in the world.
