Egypt's national football team flew back to their training base in Grozny on Wednesday afternoon to prepare for their last 2018 World Cup game against fellow Arab team Saudi Arabia on Monday in Volgograd.
The Pharaohs, who have lost hopes of proceeding in the world's most prestigious football tournament, from which they had been absent for 28 years, have decided to cancel a scheduled training session on Wednesday to rest the players.
The seven-time African champions will wave goodbye to Russia after the Saudi game, after as they failed to collect points from the group A competition, losing to Uruguay 1-0 on Friday and to Russia 3-1 on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia are playing against Uruguay on Wednesday in an attempt to recover from their 5-0 loss in the opener to hosts Russia.
