S. Sudan says 17 killed in Sudanese air raids

Sudanese air raids killed 17 people in the South Sudan border state of Western Bahr El Ghazal on Thursday, the new nation's military said, but Khartoum dismissed the allegation.

"Those who are killed are innocent civilians who are looking after their cattle," South Sudan's military spokesman Philip Aguer told AFP.
