Ahly's French coach Patrice Carteron has demanded players focus in the ongoing training camp in Croatia in preparation for the upcoming season.

"The season is full of challenges. We are bidding to collect all domestic and continental trophies. We must focus and do our best in the trainings in order to accomplish our targets," the 47-year-old tactician underlined to players, according to the club's official website.

The Egyptian League champions are in a tough situation in the African Champions League, lying bottom of Group A with only one point from their opening two matches.

The eight-trophy record-holders, who were held to a goalless draw at home by Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis before losing to Kampala 2-0, will play South Africa's Township Rollers on 17 July.

"It's essential to win the next game in order to revive our bid of winning the title, as the fans will only be satisfied by championships," the former Phoenix Rising, Al-Nassr, Wadi Degla and Mali coach added.

Carteron replaced former coach Hossam El-Badry, currently Pyramids Club president, in the club’s attempt to end a poor run after the latter stepped down as coach 15 May, despite the club winning a third straight Egyptian Premier League title, the club's 40th overall, with six matches to spare.
