Malaaz band will perform at El-Genaina Theatre on 9 August, preceded by an opening performance from Irtijal band.
Malaaz is an alternative rock band formed in 2014 by guitarist, composer and lyricist Mohamed Abdelrazik along with guitarist Amr Beshr.
Both share a passion for rock and metal music. They aim to make hard rock with Arabic lyrics an accessible genre for people of different tastes.
They were joined by singer Maged Amer, bassist Moataz El-Nashar, and drummer AJ El-Gohary in 2015, completing their band’s line up and creating their unique sound.
Irtijal band will open for Malaaz, and also perform Arabic alternative rock music, but based on improvisation sessions.
The band is comprised of lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Nour El-Din, guitarist Ali Khattab, bassist Mohamed Zaki "Momo", and drummer and percussionist Hashem Raafat.
Programme:
Thursday, 9 August at 8pm
