Ahly football director Mohamed Youssef revealed that management are considering signing Egypt national team winger Ramadan Sobhi on loan from the English Premier League side Huddersfield Town.

"Coach Patrice Carteron prepares the names of the players he wants to sign next winter, and management are ready to meet all of his demands," Youssef told a television programme early on Sunday.

"We are discussing signing Ramadan Sobhi in the winter transfer window," he added.

The 21-year-old winger Sobhi joined Huddersfield Town last June, coming from Stoke City. He made 46 appearances for Stoke across all competitions after joining from Ahly in 2016.

The talented former Ahly player was one of Egypt's key national team players at the 2018 World Cup finals and qualifiers.

Ahly, the current Egyptian Premier League title holders, reached the CAF Champions League semifinals after demolishing Guinea's Horoya AC 4-0 at Cairo's Al-Salam Stadium on Saturday.
