Zamalek’s Swiss manager Christian Gross said on Friday he is taking Saturday's Saudi-Egyptian Super Cup game seriously, underlining the importance of the match against Al-Hilal.

Gross aslo said he relishes the chance of facing "one of the strongest teams in Asia."

Zamalek will feature in the game after winning the Egypt Cup title last season while Al-Hilal are the reigning champions of the Saudi league.

“Al-Hilal are now a lot different from the team I faced when I was coach for [Saudi Arbaia's] Al-Ahli. They now have about 8 players who are on a top technical level,” Gross told a news conference in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

The 64-year-old coach added that he will start the game with a very strong formation and that they will do their best to win the title "to make the fans happy."

Gross said that he is looking forward to the attendance of Zamalek's supporters, who he said will make the game special.

“All the players are in a very good state for the game except for Hazem Emam who is suffering from a muscle injury” Gross added.

Zamalek are now leading the Egyptian Premier League table after collecting 17 points from 8 games, 6 points ahead of Ahly who only played 5 games due to their participation in the CAF Champions League.
