Egypt coach Javier Aguirre announced late on Monday the names of 11 overseas-based players for the upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tunisia, with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah among the names.

Salah was picked up for the game scheduled on 16 November despite recent allegations that the player may be rested for the two remaining games of the qualifiers, as Egypt have already secured a seat in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Salah didn’t feature in Egypt’s 2-0 victory against eSwatini on 16 October because of the muscle injury he sustained in the dying minutes of his team’s 4-1 win against the same side on 12 October in Cairo.

Olympiacos’ striker Ahmed Koka was dropped from Aguirre’s list due to injury.

Egypt have played three games under Aguirre since his appointment, scoring 12 goals and conceding only one to win three games in a row.

The 11 overseas-based players:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Awad (Al-Wehda, Saudi Arabia)

Defenders: Ahmed Hegazy (West Bromwich, England), Amr Tarek (Orlando City, USA), Ali Ghazal (Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Canada), Ahmed Elmohamady (Aston Villa, England)

Midfielders: Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal, England), Sam Morsi (Wigan, England), Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan (Kasimpasa, Turkey), Amr Warda (Paok, Greece), Hussein El-Shahat (Al-Ain, UAE)

Forwards: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, England).
