Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Thursday instructed the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) to proceed with its efforts to confront all forms of corruption in state bodies.

According to an official statement, El-Sisi told ACA head Sherif Seif El-Din Hussein during a meeting on Thursday that he will confront corruption in all state bodies.

Officials discussed improving the living standards and services offered for citizens during the meeting, El-Sisi’s spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The president reviewed progress in the campaign to detect and treat hepatitis C patients, the initiative to end patient waiting lists, and the efforts to develop tax and customs systems, Rady added.

The meeting also tackled the outcome of the state's information infrastructure project, which is being implemented by the ACA, to guarantee that subsidies are delivered to those who deserve them.

The men also discussed the final stages of the national anti-corruption strategy (from 2019 to 2022), in preparation for its launch on International Anti-Corruption Day in December, Rady said.
