Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has extolled the performance of Liverpool's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah a few hours before the match between the two sides in the English Premier League on Sunday.
Mourinho, who infamously managed the Egyptian superstar for a brief time at Chelsea and sent him on loan twice to Fiorentina and Roma in 2015, confirmed that Salah is now one of the best players in world.
"The Salah I knew at Chelsea was a project player. Now he is one of the best in the world,” Mourinho told the post-game press conference.
"He has developed incredibly well since then on every level. He was a fast but fragile boy, and how he is a fast, strong man. Physically amazing," he added.
"He was not psychologically adapted to the Premier League when he came from a small club in Switzerland [Basel] to a big club in England."
"I played him at White Hart Lane and Eithad, and it was too much for him. Now he plays anywhere, Barcelona, Madrid, and he's like ‘I am Mo Salah and I am afraid of nobody’," the Manchester United boss said.
