Egypt slumped to their second straight defeat at the World Championship after losing 28-23 to Qatar on Sunday.
The Pharaohs produced a poor display, giving the chance to their opponents to dominate the full 60 minutes as the first half ended 15-12 for Qatar.
Egypt lost Sweden 27-24 to Sweden in their opening game on Monday.
The team now have no choice but to win their three remaining games to advance to the main round.
The first three teams in each group will progress to the next round.
Egypt, who have no points, will face Argentina on Monday before meeting Hungary on Wednesday. They will end their group stage campaign on Thursday when they take on fellow African side Angola.
Later on Sunday, Hungary will face Angola while Argentina will meet Sweden.
