Ahly striker Salah Mohsen is fit enough to strengthen the team's attacking line in Monday's league match against Wadi Degla, the Cairo giants announced on Saturday.
"Mohsen is ready for Monday's match against Degla after returning to club trainings," Ahly's doctor Khaled Mahmoud was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
Mohsen has been out of action since picking up a groin injury in a league match against the Arab Contractors in November.
The Reds have had more than 10 players on the sidelines in recent matches, including key players like winger Walid Soliman, Moroccan striker Walid Azaro and new recruit Mohamed Mahmoud, who was ruled out of the season after suffering a serious knee injury on his debut earlier this month.
Nigerian hitman Junior Ajayi was the only striker available in recent matches as attacking trio Salah Mohsen, Walid Azaro and Marwan Mohsen all were absent due to various injuries.
Update on Samir and Ashour injuries
Defender Saad Samir is also fit for Monday's match, while skipper Hossam Ashour is continuing his rehabilitation for his ankle injury, according to the doctor.
"Samir has been ready since the last match against Maqassa, but we won't rush the return of Ashour before he is completely recovered," the Ahly doctor concluded.
After beating rivals Maqassa 3-0 on Friday, Ahly have climbed to third place in the Egyptian Premier League table with 30 points, 11 points behind leaders Zamalek, who have played two games more.
