Mali forward Mahamane Traore
Mali coach Alain Giresse suffered another blow as he will lose forward Mahamane Traore after failing to recover from a foot injury.
The 23-year old Metz forward has not been involved in his team's training since they arrived in Gabon.
The Mali Football Association spokesman Souleymane Diallo told AFP that Rennes forward Cheikh Fantamady Diarra, 19, will replace Traore.
Mali have already lost Toulouse defender Mohamed Fofana and midfielder Khalilou Traore because of injury.
The Eagles will start their campaign against Guinea on Tuesday.
