Egypt's prosecutor-general Nabil Sadek summoned on Sunday the head of Railways Authority and other top officials for questioning as part of the investigation into the deadly train crash that took place in Cairo's Ramses Station on Wednesday.
The crash, which left 22 people dead and dozens injured, prompted Transport Minister Hesham Arafat to resign on the same day.
On Thursday, the prosecutor-general ordered on the detention of six people for four days pending investigation into their involvement in the deadly.
Those detained include the drivers and drivers’ assistants of the two locomotive engines involved in the crash.
