Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp said on Sunday he is happy with Mohamed Salah's displays despite his goal drought, adding that he is confident the Egyptian forward will regain his sharpness after the international break.

Salah has failed to score any goal since finding the net against Bournemouth in a Premier League game on 9 February, extending his drought to seven matches in all competitions.

"It's our life sometimes you score and sometimes not," Klopp told beIN Sports after the game.

''It is completely normal and any striker could face a situation like that. I am completely happy with his performance with the team.

"He needs a break and I am sure that everything will be fine after the break."

Salah was not called-up to Egypt's squad for an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger and a friendly against Nigeria on 23 and 26 March respectively as coach Javier Aguirre decided to give him some time to rest.

The 26-year-old, who set a Premier League record by finishing as the top scorer with 32 goals last season, has scored 17 goals in the competition so far this term.
