Thirty-three people were lightly injured on Tuesday when two train carriages derailed near Kafr El-Sheikh station, approximately 130km north of Cairo.  

Ambulances attended the scene, but health officials reported no major casualties, with most injuries caused by a passenger stampede after the train derailed.
