Egypt is sending medical assistance to Sudan to help maintain security and stability in the Arab country, the Egyptian foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry added in a short press statement that the first shipment of aid consists of 25 tonnes of medicines.
It added that extending aid to the brothers in Sudan aims to consolidate the longstanding relations between the two neighbouring River Nile nations and reflects Egypt's keenness on serving the best interest of the Sudanese people.
