Egypt’s Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki met on Thursday in Cairo with Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Richard Sezibera to discuss bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
The ministers discussed the threats to the safety and stability of countries in the region, as well as the prospects for cooperation in defence and security.
The Rwandan FM praised Egypt and its political leadership’s support of their brothers in the African continent, especially during Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union in 2019.
The Egyptian minister of defence hailed the deep-rooted historical relations between Egypt and Rwanda, expressing Cairo’s desire for further cooperation on all levels.
The meeting was attended by a number of Egyptian Armed Forces commanders and the ambassador of Rwanda in Cairo.
