Egyptian Ambassador to Canada Ahmed Abo Zeid expressed his deep appreciation of the role of the Ministry of Culture, under minister Enas Abdel Dayem, in dispatching the National Folklore Ensemble to the North American country.
This came at a ceremony organized by the Egyptian embassy to Canada on Tuesday for the ensemble at the Canadian Museum of History, with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of the Canadian government and parliament.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Egyptian ambassador said that the ensemble's performance involves the troupe's history and memories over the past 40 years and its cultural and artistic activities.
At the end of the ceremony, the ensemble's head handed over the National Folklore Ensemble's shield to the Egyptian ambassador.
