Pyramids FC announced on Monday the signing of Masry's Islam Eissa on a 5-year contract.
Eissa, who joined Masry from second division side El-Nasr in January 2018, has scored seven goals in 28 league appearances with the Port-Said based club this season.
The 23-year-old has put in a series of outstanding performances since the season's start, grabbing the attention of the league's top clubs. Ahly were competing against Pyramids to sign Eissa, before the latter snapped him up.
"Islam Eissa is one of the important players, and I hope he will help the team after Brazilian Kino's departure," Pyramids FC's football general supervisor, Ahmed Hassan said to Sada El-Balad TV channel on Monday.
Big spenders Pyramids (formerly known Assiouty Sport) were a title contender until the final stages this season after building a strong team by signing a host of famous and talented players starting last summer.
Pyramids are currently in second place of the Egyptian league's table with 70 points after completing all matches through the tournament, securing its seat in one of the two African tournaments next season for the first time in the history of the club.
