Newcastle’s Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse expressed on Monday his great happiness after scoring his debut goal with the Magpies on Sunday’s Newcastle 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League, adding that he has to work hard to score more goals in the future.
"I'm happy with my first goal. I feel that this can be the first of many to come for me at Newcastle United. It was a really good goal for me,’’ Papiss Cisse was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"The aim from now is to keep working hard in training. If I do that I would like to think that I can get more goals like that," he added.
The 26 year-old striker joined Newcastle from Bundesliga’s side Freiburg in January, to play with his compatriot Demba Ba who has shined this season.
